Our partner in India - the VSPCA

The suffering of cattle during transport and slaughter in India is unimaginable. To be able to help the animals effectively, Animals’ Angels searched for a local partner. The Indian organization VSPCA greatly impressed us with their commitment to India’s animals. Since 1996 the Visakha Society for Protection of Animals (VSPCA) takes stand for the rights of the animals of Andra Pradesh.

Like Animals’ Angels, the VPSCA has been working together with the authorities for many years and e.g. is authorized to seize animals during inspections of illegal animal transports. The founder and director of VSPCA has been dreaming of doing something for the cows on the transporters for a long time. In November 2012 we jointly founded the CATTLE RESPECT PROGRAMME INDIA.

Our partner VSPCA about our joint programme:

"Animals have no religion, no boundaries, caste and we live in a small world hence we look into this collaboration between Animals' Angels (Germany) and VSPCA (India) from across two different continents of Europe and Asia as supplementary and complementary to reach the objective.  Animals' Angels are very focused on stopping illegal transportation and VSPCA is providing the ground work to implement in the region with prevention to cruelty to any animals. Thus it is imperative and important that such joint ventures are undertaken that will provide the desired results. Animals' Angels expertise and VSPCA field implementations are the essence of a strong necessary joint programme."
